Event
Event Name:Going for Investment!
Event Summary:We will hear two companies who are considering external investment present their businesses and find out what our guest commentators think and whether external investment is a good idea, what type of investment might be suitable and what hurdles might need to be overcome to secure it.
Event Description:1st Presenting Company
Caledonian Computer Solutions -
Established 2002, Caledonian Computer Solutions is a leading technology consultancy offering SME clients technical solutions, professional consultancy and ongoing support. Due to the highly competitive nature of the general IT market, the company identified the need to specialise and as such entered the UK Dental Market in October 2007 under the banner of Dental Innovation. The newly formed business division specialises in digital imaging and radiography for private dental practices. During March 2008, the company formed a strategic alliance with KaVo Dental Limited and has recently completed the refurbishment of the prestigious Edinburgh Dental Institute, Post Graduate training facility.
The project included the installation of advanced AV and IT training systems by Dental Innovation. To-date, the greatest challenge the business has faced has been making the market aware of our existence and locating people with the right skill set. This required funding to overcome the issue and our presentation will focus on the sources of funding that were made available at the business inception and the future growth and expansion plans for the business.
